Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between B2 and C1?+
At B2 you're fluent for most everyday and professional contexts. At C1 you master nuance — you catch implied meaning, use idioms naturally, and function comfortably in academic and specialized environments.
Is C1 recognized for university admission in Spain / Latin America?+
Yes. Many Spanish-language universities accept DELE C1 as proof of language proficiency for direct admission, no additional exam needed.
How long does C1 take to complete?+
Around 190 hours. Most students take 12–18 months at a group pace, or 6–9 months in an intensive private track.
Do I have to take the DELE C1 exam?+
No — the course prepares you for it if you want the certification, but many students take C1 purely to reach that level of fluency.
Can I use C1 for translation or interpretation work?+
The course includes an introduction to translation and consecutive interpretation techniques. For professional translation/interpretation careers, C1 is the minimum starting point; specialized certification comes after.
What comes after C1?+
C2 (Mastery) — the highest CEFR level, focused on near-native competence, stylistic control, and specialized professional Spanish.
