Prerequisites
A2 level or equivalent. You should be able to communicate in simple everyday situations and have basic knowledge of past and present tenses.

How long until I can hold a real conversation?+
At B1 you're already holding conversations. This level focuses on making them richer, more nuanced, and letting you handle unexpected topics.
What's the subjunctive and why does everyone say it's hard?+
It's the mood used for wishes, doubts, and emotions. It's not hard — it just takes practice because English uses it less. We introduce it gradually with real examples.
Can I do B1 if I only speak Spanish at home but never studied it formally?+
Yes — heritage speakers often start here. We do a placement chat first to confirm the fit and identify grammar/writing gaps to fill.
Will I be able to work in Spanish after B1?+
For customer-facing and everyday professional communication, yes. For legal, medical, or highly technical work, B2/C1 is more appropriate.
How much time per week is recommended?+
3–4 hours of class per week gets most students through B1 in about 6–8 months. Private/intensive tracks can compress this.
What comes after B1?+
B2 (Upper-Intermediate), which includes preparation for the official DELE B2 exam if you want a certification.
