Founded by Karla Quiroga, La Casa del Español was born from a simple belief: that learning a language is one of the most transformative things a person can do. What started as a passion for connecting people through Spanish has grown into a full academy serving students of all ages and levels across the DMV area.

Karla Quiroga created La Casa del Español with one goal: to make Spanish accessible, enjoyable, and truly effective for English speakers in the DMV area. As a native Spanish speaker and certified language instructor with over 4 years of teaching experience, Karla brings both expertise and warmth to every class.
Her approach combines proven pedagogical methods with a genuine passion for human connection. Under her leadership, La Casa del Español has grown from a small tutoring practice into a full academy serving students from all walks of life — from professionals and healthcare workers to families, retirees, and corporate teams.
